Reviews and Ratings
I stayed at the Corfu Holiday Palace from 14-6-19, and it was a beautiful hotel that offered a nice and quiet atmosphere. The rooms were more than satisfactory, although there was some disturbance from the generator that made the room vibrate and hot. The hotel's service was absolutely brilliant, from offering my partner a lift to the hospital to the attention to detail provided by the cleaning staff. The location was great, with easy access to public transportation and plenty of onsite amenities to enjoy. The dining experience was magnificent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options. Two areas to watch out for are the outdated decoration in certain areas and the unexpected plane noise due to the proximity to the airport.
The hotel is located at the extreme end of the building, offering a nice view of the sea. The rooms were spacious and clean with great air conditioning. However, due to the proximity to the airport runway, we couldn't enjoy the balcony as the planes were too close for comfort.
The hotel offers rooms with shared pool, which was great but not quite up to 5-star standard. Could have done with a fresh lick of paint. My stay from the 14th of June was in a beautiful, nice, and quiet setting reminiscent of the Corfu Palace.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms had a mouldy, musty smell, but the cleaner was quick to address it. The view from the front of the hotel facing the runway was noisy, with outdated and small rooms. The food was average and overpriced, including a can of Coke for 3 euros. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, making the overall experience somewhat pleasant.
My stay at the hotel was delightful overall. The rooms were large, comfortable, and pristine clean, complete with a spacious balcony and the joy of blackout curtains. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, although at times, I felt like I was bothering them with my questions. The location, while isolated and not ideal for those with mobility issues, offered a lagoon side view and easy access to a beautiful beach through a fanicular. The dining experience, though varied, lacked fresh local fruits, and the breakfast quality could be improved. The facilities were well-maintained, despite a strong aroma lingering around the grounds at times.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were basic and older but surprisingly clean, which mattered most to me. However, the noise from metal chairs scraping on the marble floor was quite bothersome. On the bright side, my room had a balcony with a direct view of Corfu airport and the surrounding lakes, facing the runway.
